Job listings at Switzerland’s largest banks rose 4% in October
Switzerland’s ten largest banks listed 565 jobs in the final week of October, 4% more than in September.
The count includes only jobs based in Switzerland and comes from vacancies posted on the banks’ websites.
Bank vacancies have fallen sharply in recent years, including during the integration of Credit Suisse into UBS; listings reached a low of 482 in May.
UBS listings rose 20% to 74 in October, but were still 22% lower than a year earlier.
Raiffeisen, Zürcher Kantonalbank, PostFinance, Lombard Odier and Pictet increased their listings both from September and over the year.
Vontobel and Migros Bank listed fewer jobs, showing that the modest overall rise was not shared by every bank.
