Iran displays billboard threatening to kill Trump in Tehran

Iran unveiled a billboard in Tehran threatening to kill U.S. President Donald Trump on November 3.

The display in Enghelab Square showed Trump behind bars, while nearby banners and another billboard carried hostile images of U.S. and Israeli leaders.

Crowds called for revenge over the killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in U.S.-Israeli attacks on February 28, which triggered the Middle East war.

Iran has repeatedly used public billboards and murals to send political messages, especially against the United States and Israel.

The displays underscore the sharp hostility between Tehran and Washington as fighting has spread across the region and pushed up prices globally.

Diplomatic efforts are under way to bring Iran and the United States to talks and prevent fighting from resuming.

Trump has said a deal “could happen,” but no outcome is given.
