NC offers veteran hitter Son Ah-seop a place, but no deal is confirmed

NC has offered veteran hitter Son Ah-seop a place on its team, but the South Korean baseball club says no deal is final.

The 38-year-old was released by the Doosan Bears after a difficult season, following a move from the Hanwha Eagles.

NC is waiting for Son’s response, and the teams have not agreed on contract terms.

Son also has ties to the Lotte Giants, where he began his career, and Lotte has shown interest in signing him.

He has 2,655 career hits, and previously played for NC from 2022 until he was traded to Hanwha in 2025.

With NC, he won the league batting title and broke the record for career hits.

A return would reunite him with the club where he reached those milestones, but it remains uncertain whether he will accept the offer.
