India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar visited Bhutan for two days.

He met Bhutanese Foreign Minister D N Dhungyel in Bumthang.

They talked about how India and Bhutan can work together on development, energy, trade and travel links.

They also discussed culture and connections between their people.

Jaishankar opened a new 65-bed hospital for mothers and children in Mongar.

He also opened a bridge in Samdrup Jongkhar to improve connections in eastern Bhutan.

In Gasa, he helped begin a 500 KW hydropower project.

The visit was intended to strengthen the friendly relationship between India and Bhutan.
