Blue Line Metro resumes normal schedule
The Blue Line Metro in Kolkata, which had its schedule disrupted due to issues at the Kavi Subhash station, is now back on track.
The Metro had to stop services at Kavi Subhash after cracks were found in the platform pillars.
This caused delays and changes in the schedule, with trains being terminated at different stations.
The Metro officials made changes to the signaling system and infrastructure to fix these problems.
Now, the trains are running on a fixed schedule again between Dakshineswar and Shahid Khudiram.
The Metro is also planning to build a new rake reversal point at Shahid Khudiram and will start a major repair project at New Garia once that is done.
Although there are still some technical issues and occasional disruptions, the main problems caused by the closure of New Garia have been addressed.
Blue Line Metro schedule resumed after modifications to signaling system.
Trains now terminate at Shahid Khudiram instead of Tollygunge.
Infrastructure adjustments made to handle longer turnaround times.
Passenger issues at Tollygunge station have been resolved.
Plans for a new rake reversal point and raze-and-rebuild project at New Garia.
