Mumbai University Releases Indian Knowledge Systems Books in 12 Languages
The University of Mumbai made a big book‑making project.
They wrote books about India’s old knowledge in 12 different languages, like Marathi, Hindi, and Tamil.
The books were shown at a ceremony on Guru Purnima, a day that celebrates teachers.
The university’s boss, Prof. Ravindra Kulkarni, said the books will help students learn about India’s culture.
They also plan to write more detailed books on subjects like Ayurveda and astronomy.
Students and teachers from many schools made posters and models about this knowledge and were given prizes.
The project hopes to make people read more and learn about India’s heritage.
University of Mumbai published Indian Knowledge Systems books in 12 languages under NEP 2020.
Release held on Guru Purnima with Vice‑Chancellor Prof. Ravindra Kulkarni chairing the event.
Books provide an introductory overview; future editions will cover Ayurveda, astronomy, economics, and more.
The initiative aims to promote traditional knowledge and encourage reading among students.
125 students and 75 teachers participated in a poster and model‑making competition during the program.
