Campaign Urges UN to Adopt Map Showing Africa’s True Size

The African Union supported the campaign in August 2025.
It later chose Togo to lead the effort.
The goal is to persuade the United Nations to adopt the proposed map.
The report describes an effort toward adoption rather than confirming that the United Nations has already adopted it.
