UIDAI Allows Online Aadhaar Address Updates

UIDAI Allows Online Aadhaar Address Updates

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) now lets people update their Aadhaar address online.

This means you don't have to go to a physical center.

You can log in with your Aadhaar number and a special code sent to your phone.

Then, you enter your new address and upload proof like an electricity bill or bank statement.

UIDAI checks these documents, which usually takes about 7 to 10 days.

After that, you can download your updated Aadhaar card from the UIDAI website.

This makes it easier for people to keep their important information up-to-date.

However, the Uttar Pradesh government has directed all departments not to accept Aadhaar cards as proof of birth, emphasizing that Aadhaar is not a birth certificate or nationality document.
