IPA Clarifies National Pickleball Championship Status

The Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) is the official group for pickleball in India, recognized by the government.

Another group, the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA), tried to call their event in Jammu a "National" championship, but the IPA said they can't do that because it's a private event.

The IPA will host the real "Nationals" in Bengaluru in November, and it's the only event where players can earn points to be on the national team.

A separate IPA-sanctioned tournament will also be held in Chennai, players are encouraged to participate in these events.
