Sensex Slumps Over 500 Points as Oil Rises 2%

Indian stocks fell sharply at the start of trading on September 28.

The Sensex dropped by more than 500 points.

Oil prices increased by 2%.

Higher oil prices can make energy more expensive and hurt markets.

Experts said aggressive selling helped drive the decline.

G. Chokkalingam said the market might recover a little later in the week.

He noted that there were no major attacks between Iran and the United States.

He also said diplomatic efforts and pressure from other countries could encourage a peaceful solution.
