Red Fort Blast: Key Suspect Arrested, University Ties Investigated
The NIA arrested a man named Amir Rashid Ali for helping with the car bomb attack near the Red Fort.
The car's driver, who died in the blast, was a doctor at Al Falah University.
Police think the university might be connected to the blast and an old scam where people lost money.
They've filed two legal cases against the university for cheating and using fake documents.
National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested Amir Rashid Ali, suspected of aiding the suicide bomber in the Red Fort blast.
Amir, a Kashmiri resident, helped facilitate the purchase of the car used as a Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED).
The deceased driver of the VBIED, Umar Un Nabi, was identified as an Assistant Professor at Al Falah University.
Two FIRs have been filed against Al-Falah University for forgery and cheating in connection with the blast and an investment scam.
