Pentagon Administers Polygraphs to 50 Joint Staff Personnel

The Pentagon is trying to find out who may have shared secret military information with the media.

About 50 people from the Joint Staff reportedly took lie detector tests.

The tests happened during the past month.

Investigators asked about information involving US supplies of ammunition and other sensitive matters.

The Joint Staff has between 1,500 and 2,000 people.

Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell would not discuss the specific investigation.

He said the military takes national-security leaks very seriously.

He also said protecting secret information helps keep US troops safe.
