Eight Countries With Most Frequent Travellers
A survey by Pew Research Center found that people from different countries travel abroad at very different rates.
In Sweden and the Netherlands, almost everyone has been to another country, with many visiting more than 10.
In the UK, Germany, Australia, France, Italy, and Canada, a lot of people have also travelled internationally.
But in India, very few people have been abroad, with 95% never having left the country.
The survey shows how easy or hard it is for people to travel depending on where they live.
Sweden and Netherlands have the highest rates of international travel, with over 99% of citizens having visited at least one foreign country.
In the UK, 43% of people have visited more than 10 countries, and 26% have travelled to between five and nine destinations.
Germany has one of the most widely travelled populations in Western Europe, with 36% having visited 10 or more nations.
Australia has a high rate of international travel despite its distance from many parts of the world, with 32% visiting 10 or more countries.
India has the lowest rate of international travel, with only 3% of the population having visited 10 or more countries and 95% never having travelled abroad.
