India’s Furniture and Handicraft Exports Set for Strong Growth

India’s Furniture and Handicraft Exports Set for Strong Growth

India’s furniture and handicraft businesses expect their exports to grow quickly over the next three years.

They estimate annual growth of 20–22%.

Industry leaders say government policies, better roads and facilities, and trade agreements are helping.

They want easier export rules and better shipping systems.

They also want Indian warehouses and showrooms in important overseas markets.

A large furniture exhibition called IMM India 2026 has started in New Delhi.

The exhibition has 102 exhibitors and more than 8,000 trade buyers.

Business leaders say India could become an important global center for furniture design and manufacturing.
