Telangana Dairy Units Face Closures Over Hygiene Violations

Telangana Dairy Units Face Closures Over Hygiene Violations

Food safety teams inspected 20 dairy businesses in Telangana.

They found problems such as flies, cockroaches, mould and dirty water.

Some equipment was rusty, and drainage was poor at some locations.

Inspectors collected 18 samples because they suspected some products might be adulterated.

One dairy was closed because it had no required food safety licence.

Two other dairies were ordered to stop working after their licences were suspended.

Ten businesses will receive notices telling them to improve.

Three more businesses will receive show-cause notices asking them to explain the violations.
