BJP claims West Bengal demography entering dangerous phase
A leader from the BJP, Pradeep Bhandari, said that West Bengal's population is changing in a dangerous way.
He thinks that the number of Hindus is going down faster than the number of Muslims.
He also said that in the districts near the border, the number of Hindus is going down because of illegal activities.
He believes that the population of a place affects its democracy.
BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari claims West Bengal's demography is entering a dangerous phase.
The decadal growth rate of the Hindu population has declined from 21% in 1980 to 10% now.
Bhandari claims the rate of decline of the Hindu population is directly proportional to the rate of increase of illegal infiltrating activities in border districts.
He also claims that the rate of decline of the Hindu population is faster than the rate of decline of the Muslim population.
Bhandari believes that demography is democracy's destiny.
