PCB to Manage Multan Sultans in PSL 11
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will directly manage the Multan Sultans team in the next Pakistan Super League (PSL) season.
This decision comes after the previous owner, Ali Tareen, left the team due to disagreements with the PCB.
The board will appoint a committee led by a former cricketer to handle the team.
The Multan Sultans is the most expensive team in the league, paying $6.35 million annually.
The PCB also announced that Wasim Akram will be the brand ambassador for the PSL.
Meanwhile, there is a controversy over the T20 Asia Cup 2025 trophy.
India won the Asia Cup but refused to receive the trophy from PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who is also the ACC president.
Naqvi insists that India must send their captain to Dubai to receive the trophy.
Additionally, there have been tensions between the two countries over post-match gestures and player conduct, with Pakistan planning to lodge a formal complaint with the ICC.
