Nehru Zoo Elephants Now Roam Free After Years of Chains
For years, elephants at Nehru Zoo were kept in chains at night, causing injuries.
Recently, keepers decided to let the elephants, Vanaja, Asha, and Sita, roam free.
Initially, the elephants were confused and returned to the gate.
Now, they roam the enclosure day and night, enjoying more space and freedom.
They now spend time at their favorite spots, get treats, and sleep comfortably.
The change has improved their health, preventing ingrown nails and arthritis.
Vijay, a male elephant, remains in a restricted area due to past incidents.
