Tropical Agrosystem Launches Tech to Minimize Fruit Loss
Tropical Agrosystem is introducing new farm-tech tools to help prevent fruit from going bad.
They partnered with AgroFresh to bring Strella and Rubens to India.
Strella uses sensors to monitor fruit maturity in storage.
Rubens is a handheld scanner to check fruit quality in the orchard.
This helps farmers know when to pick fruit and prevent spoilage, reducing waste and potentially boosting farmers' incomes.
Initially, the tech will be used for apples and pears.
Tropical Agrosystem (India) Ltd announced new farm-tech tools.
The tools aim to minimize post-harvest fruit losses.
The tools are developed in partnership with AgroFresh Solutions Inc.
Strella and Rubens technologies are integrated with AgroFresh’s FreshCloud.
The technologies will be available for apples and pears initially.
