India's Yamini Mourya settles for silver after costly Shido penalty

A judo player from India named Yamini Mourya won a silver medal at a big sports event called the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

She really wanted to win the gold medal, so much that she put a picture of a gold medal on her phone.

In the final match, against Acelya Toprak from England, Yamini fought for almost seven minutes.

During the match, judges gave her a penalty called a Shido, and it happened three times.

The third penalty meant her opponent won, so Yamini got silver instead of gold.

Yamini said she was too aggressive and should have stayed calm and trusted her game.

She felt her opponent was under pressure and likely to make a mistake, but instead she made the mistake herself.

Even though she was disappointed, India's judo team did really well at the Games.

The team won four medals, including two gold medals, which was its best ever.

Two Indian players, Asmita Dey and Harsh Singh, became the first Indians to win gold in judo at the Commonwealth Games.
