Trump Renominates Isaacman as NASA Administrator
President Trump has once again chosen Jared Isaacman to lead NASA, the agency in charge of space exploration.
Jared is a very rich businessman who has also been to space twice on private missions organized by SpaceX, a company led by Elon Musk.
The President had first nominated Jared a while ago, but then took his name back.
Now, he is putting Jared's name forward again.
Jared is known for his space flights, including the Inspiration4 and Polaris Dawn missions.
If confirmed by the Senate, Jared wants to send more people into space more often.
He also wants to focus on returning astronauts to the Moon as part of the Artemis program.
Beyond that, he aims to explore deep space and build new space businesses.
He also supports the International Space Station and developing a 'space economy'.
The Senate will now review his nomination to decide if he can be the official head of NASA.
President Trump has re-nominated Jared Isaacman for the position of NASA administrator.
Isaacman, a billionaire and private astronaut, was previously nominated in December but that nomination was withdrawn in May.
The re-nomination follows a public disagreement between SpaceX founder Elon Musk and then-interim NASA chief Sean Duffy.
Isaacman's stated priorities include increasing astronaut flight frequency, lunar exploration under Artemis, and building a space economy.
The role requires confirmation by the U.S. Senate.
