Congress Alleges Gaps in Telangana Voter List Revision
Election officials are checking voter lists in Telangana.
A Congress leader said some lists do not have enough address information.
He said this makes it difficult for workers to find voters and check whether their records are correct.
He also said political parties had not received some lists showing voter problems.
The Congress found 148 possible duplicate entries in one Hyderabad constituency.
It said every possible duplicate should be checked carefully.
It also warned that genuine voters should not be removed just because a computer record looks suspicious.
Booth-level agents said the relevant lists were given to party representatives and that they would check reported mistakes.
Hyderabad Congress president Syed Khalid Saifullah alleged serious gaps in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision 2026 exercise.
He said Absent, Shifted, Dead and Duplicate voter lists lacked house numbers and sufficient address details.
Saifullah alleged political parties had not received anomaly and unmapped voter lists despite directions from the Chief Electoral Officer.
The Hyderabad Congress identified 148 apparent duplicate voter entries in Yakutpura for election-authority verification.
Booth-level agents said the ASD and anomaly lists had been handed to political-party representatives and that discrepancies would be fact-checked.
