BYD Surpasses Tesla in 2025 EV Sales

BYD, a Chinese company, sold more electric cars than Tesla last year.

They sold over 4.6 million cars in total, with 2.26 million being pure electric vehicles.

Tesla sold about 1.63 million cars, which was fewer than the year before.

Tesla's sales went down by about 8.55%, while BYD's sales went up by 7.7%.

BYD is now the biggest electric car maker in the world.

Tesla's sales were affected by production problems and the end of a special tax credit in the US.

BYD's stock went up a little, but Tesla's stock went down a bit.

BYD also increased the price of one of its cars in India.
