Maharashtra Starts DNA Profiling After Nepal Disaster Deaths

Some Indian citizens died in a disaster in Nepal.

Officials are using DNA testing to find out who the deceased people are.

DNA samples will be collected from their relatives.

Relatives from Maharashtra should visit a designated centre on September 3, 2026.

The centres will be open from 10 a.m.

to 6 p.m.

At least two close relatives must come in person.

They should bring three photographs and Aadhaar or PAN identification.

The testing will help officials give families accurate information.
