DUSU Elections 2026 Focus on Safety and Student Issues
Delhi University students are voting to choose their student leaders.
They are electing a president, vice-president, secretary and joint secretary.
Many students want better safety, hostels, libraries, drinking water and job opportunities.
The Satya Niketan incident has made safety and accommodation especially important.
Voting is happening in two parts of the day.
More than 1.5 lakh students are expected to vote.
Police and other security forces are watching the polling stations.
Results will be announced tomorrow.
The final turnout will show how many students voted.
Voting is underway for the four key Delhi University Students’ Union posts: president, vice-president, secretary and joint secretary.
Students identified safety, hostels, libraries, drinking water and campus placements as major election concerns.
