Maharashtra TET Paper Leak: 18 Accused Sent To Judicial Custody

Maharashtra TET Paper Leak: 18 Accused Sent To Judicial Custody

A court in Bhiwandi has sent 18 people accused in a teacher test paper leak case to judicial custody.

This means they will remain in custody while the case continues.

Their custody has been extended until October 14.

Two of them had earlier been held by the police for questioning.

Their lawyer said the police had not shown progress in tracing money or explaining how the paper was leaked.

The Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test was supposed to happen on June 28, 2026.

It was postponed after questions found in an unauthorized paper reportedly matched the real test paper.

Police are investigating the case and charges are being considered.
