Karnataka TET 2025: BEd Clause for Paper 1 Eligibility Withdrawn
The Karnataka government has changed the rules for a teacher eligibility test called KARTET 2025.
Previously, people with a BEd degree could take Paper 1 to teach younger kids (grades 1-5).
Now, they cannot use their BEd for Paper 1, only for Paper 2 (grades 6-8).
This change was made because the rule was included by mistake and doesn't follow the national guidelines for teacher training.
Other ways to qualify for Paper 1, like having a diploma in elementary education, are still valid.
Registration for the test is open until November 9th, and the exam is on December 7th.
This test helps ensure teachers in Karnataka meet important standards.
Karnataka School Education Department issued a correction notice for KARTET 2025.
The BEd eligibility clause for Paper 1 (Classes 1-5) has been withdrawn.
This withdrawal is to align with NCTE guidelines, as the clause was incorrectly included.
BEd qualification remains valid for Paper 2 (Classes 6-8).
Registration for KARTET 2025 is open until November 9, with the exam on December 7.
