Commanders' Ekeler Out for Season With Torn Achilles

Two football players for the Washington Commanders, Austin Ekeler and Deatrich Wise Jr., will miss the rest of the season.

Ekeler, the running back, has a torn Achilles tendon, a severe injury.

Wise Jr., a defensive end, injured his quadriceps.

Ekeler was hurt during a play without contact.

Wise Jr. was injured during a kick attempt.

This means both players may not play for the rest of the season.

The team is looking at other players to fill the roles.
