Parliament Debates Scrapping NEET Amid Paper Leak Concerns
In Parliament, a DMK MP named Tiruchi Siva said the government should stop the NEET exam because it helps students cheat.
He also said the government didn’t keep a promise to stop legal cases against students who protested.
An AIADMK MP, M Thambidurai, blamed coaching centres for cheating and said they should be shut down.
A BJD MP, Santrupt Mishra, warned that the new law should be thought through carefully.
Another MP, YV Subba Reddy, also spoke but didn’t give a clear opinion.
The debate shows different ideas about how to fix cheating in exams.
DMK MP Tiruchi Siva demanded scrapping the NEET exam during a parliamentary debate on the Public Examinations Amendment Bill.
Siva accused the Centre of not withdrawing FIRs against student protesters and warned that stricter laws alone would not stop paper leaks.
AIADMK MP M Thambidurai blamed coaching centres for exam leaks and called for their abolition.
BJD MP Santrupt Mishra cautioned against rushing the legislation, urging deeper deliberation on education system issues.
YSRCP MP YV Subba Reddy also joined the discussion, though his specific stance was not detailed.
