Acquitted Malegaon Accused Seeks Return of Rs 750, Court Clarifies Injured Count
Following the verdict in the Malegaon blast case, one of the acquitted, Sameer Kulkarni, asked the court to return the Rs 750 that was taken from him when he was arrested 17 years ago.
He also wanted to say patriotic slogans but wasn't allowed.
The court also corrected the number of people hurt in the blast to 95 because some people faked injury certificates.
This means only the 95 will get money to help them.
Sameer Kulkarni requested the return of Rs 750 confiscated during his arrest.
The court noted his request but stated no case property would be returned until a later order.
Kulkarni also sought permission to raise slogans, which the court denied.
The court clarified the number of injured in the blast was 95, not 101.
Six individuals were found to have submitted fake medical certificates.
