Tigress Meghna Gives Birth to Two Cubs
A tigress named Meghna, who lives in a zoo in Jamshedpur, had two baby tiger cubs.
The cubs were born on November 27, but the zoo waited to tell everyone to make sure the babies and their mom were safe.
The zoo is very happy because it's been a long time since they had baby tigers.
The cubs' dad is a tiger named Rudra.
Both Meghna and Rudra were brought to the zoo from a rescue center in Nagpur.
The zoo will soon let the public help name the new cubs, just like they did for Meghna and Rudra.
Tigress Meghna gave birth to two healthy cubs at Tata Steel Zoological Park (TSZP) in Jamshedpur.
The cubs were born on November 27, but the news was announced on December 30 to ensure their safety.
Both cubs are stable and under continuous monitoring by the zoo's veterinary and animal care teams.
Meghna and the cubs' father, Rudra, were named by the public through a contest organized by the zoo.
Meghna and Rudra were brought to the park from the rescue center at Gorewada in Nagpur.
