PM Modi Announces Rs 104,000 Crore Unclaimed Funds Return
Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke at a big meeting and said the government will give back a huge amount of money, Rs 104,000 crore, to people who didn't know they had it.
This money has been sitting in banks, insurance companies, mutual funds, and from unclaimed dividends.
The government is setting up special camps in many places to find the people who own this money.
PM Modi said this is important not just for the money, but to show that the government cares about the people and wants to build trust.
Most of this money belongs to poor and middle-class families, and the government is working hard to return it to them.
PM Modi announced a campaign to return Rs 104,000 crore in unclaimed funds to citizens.
The unclaimed funds include Rs 78,000 crore in banks, Rs 14,000 crore with insurance companies, Rs 3,000 crore with mutual funds, and Rs 9,000 crore in unclaimed dividends.
The initiative aims to return wealth primarily to poor and middle-class families.
