Russia Jails Teen for Pro-Ukraine Posters
A 17-year-old girl in Russia named Eva Bagrova was sentenced to four years in prison.
She put up posters in her school that showed a man named Denis Kapustin, who is a leader of a group that fights for Ukraine.
The Russian government doesn't like this group and says they are terrorists.
Eva was arrested and put on house arrest for a year before her trial.
She tried to appeal her sentence, but the court said no.
The Russian government is very strict about what people can say about their military actions in Ukraine, especially in schools.
Many young people in Russia have been jailed for similar reasons.
Eva Bagrova, 17, was sentenced to 4 years in prison for hanging pro-Ukraine posters in her school.
The posters depicted Denis Kapustin, leader of the banned Russian Volunteer Corps.
Bagrova was initially held under house arrest and pre-trial detention for a year.
Her appeal was denied by an appeals court in the Moscow region.
Russia has strict laws against criticizing its military campaign in Ukraine, especially in schools.
