Bengaluru Hospital Celebrates CAR T-cell Therapy Milestone
Imagine your body has a special army to fight cancer, called T-cells.
Sometimes, cancer comes back.
But doctors have found a new way to help these T-cells.
It's called CAR T-cell therapy.
Doctors take some of your T-cells, teach them to find and kill cancer cells, and then put them back in your body.
In Bengaluru, two people with a type of cancer called lymphoma have been doing well for three years after this treatment, showing it can be very effective when other treatments have failed.
This news shows how far medical science has come in treating cancer.
