Doctor Rides Excavator Through Snow to Reach Hospital
A doctor named Dr. Basharat Pandit had to go to his hospital in Shopian, which is in a place called Jammu and Kashmir.
There was a lot of snow, and the roads were very hard to travel on.
His car got stuck, so he walked for a while and then found an excavator (a big machine used for digging).
He rode the excavator to the hospital to help his patients, especially pregnant women who needed surgery.
He did 10 surgeries, and all the patients were okay afterward.
He did this because he felt it was his duty to take care of his patients, even in bad weather.
Meanwhile, the Army helped two doctors reach a remote village to assist a 24-year-old woman who was having health issues after giving birth.
The Army cleared the snow-blocked roads and provided medical help to stabilize the woman's condition.
Dr. Basharat Pandit traveled 55 km through waist-deep snow to reach Shopian hospital.
His car got stuck, and he walked part of the way before riding an excavator to the hospital.
He arrived at the hospital around 10:30 AM to perform surgeries on pregnant women.
The doctor performed 10 surgeries, and all patients were stable afterward.
The Army facilitated the movement of two civilian doctors and provided emergency medical assistance to a 24-year-old woman in a remote, snow-bound village.
