Maharashtra Plans Country-Specific Skill Passports for Global Jobs

Maharashtra wants to help more people from the state find skilled jobs in other countries.

It plans to create skill passports showing what workers can do.

Officials will study which skills different countries need.

Training schools will then update their courses to match those needs.

Students will receive language and job-related training.

They will also learn about the cultures of countries where they may work.

A new agreement will use translation technology to provide free language training to some students.

The government also wants to help workers who return from abroad find jobs in Maharashtra.
