Indian Market Sees Gains with Sensex, Nifty Rising
The Indian stock market had a good day, with the Sensex and Nifty 50 increasing.
Investors were buying stocks.
The Sensex gained over 400 points, and the Nifty 50 rose above 24,700.
The rise was due to positive expectations related to potential changes in the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Overall, investors gained a large amount of wealth as the market capitalization increased.
The Sensex closed at 80,567.71, up 410 points.
The Nifty 50 finished at 24,715.05, increasing 135 points.
BSE Midcap index rose 0.63%.
The Smallcap index jumped 0.90%.
