Fisheries Dept Orders Inquiry on Heavy Metals in Guwahati Fish

The Fisheries Department in Assam is looking into a report that found harmful metals like lead and arsenic in some fish sold in Guwahati.

They had a meeting with experts to discuss this issue.

The department wants the complete research report to check the findings.

They will also do their own tests to make sure the research was done properly.

The department asked researchers to tell the government about their findings in the future so that they can take action to keep people safe.

The fish that were found to have too much lead include a type called 'Bhangon' and some other popular freshwater fish.
