Delhi Faces Poor Air Quality
Delhi is having a problem with air quality.
The air quality index (AQI) is around 238-265, which is considered poor.
Some places like RK Puram and India Gate have even worse air quality, with AQI levels of 316 and 311 respectively.
The weather is also quite cold, with temperatures around 7 degrees Celsius in the morning.
The good news is that the weather department says there might be light rain and thunderstorms in the next few days.
This rain could help make the air cleaner.
The weather office also predicted the possibility of light showers during the day and a significant drop in maximum temperature by around 5 to 3 degrees Celsius and a rise in minimum temperature by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius.
Delhi's average AQI is between 238 and 265, classified as 'poor' by the CPCB.
RK Puram and India Gate recorded the worst AQI at 316 and 311 respectively, falling in the 'very poor' range.
The minimum temperature was around 7 degrees Celsius, below the seasonal average.
The maximum temperature is expected to be around 19 degrees Celsius.
