Brothers Arrested in Bengal After 15 Years in Jewellery Case

Police say two brothers were arrested in West Bengal after being wanted for nearly 15 years.

They are accused of taking gold and diamonds that a jeweller in Delhi had given them to make jewellery.

The alleged amount was 1,430 grams of gold and diamonds.

The case began with a police report in 2011.

Police say the brothers left Delhi and settled in West Bengal.

They were found in Hooghly, where they were working as jewellery makers.

Police said they had been declared wanted offenders and a reward was announced for information leading to their arrest.

During questioning, they allegedly said they wanted money to start their own jewellery-design business.
