Film Studio Proposed Near Nandigama to Boost Andhra Cinema

A film artists’ group wants to build a movie studio near Nandigama.

The group is called the Movie Artists Association–Andhra Pradesh.

Its leaders met local legislator T. Sowmya to look for government land.

They think Nandigama is a useful place because it is between Hyderabad and Vijayawada.

A national highway also connects the area.

The studio could help film companies shoot movies in Andhra Pradesh.

It may include sets such as houses, a police station, a court and a hospital.

The group says it can build the studio if the government provides suitable land.
