Bank of Baroda Manager Sentenced to 5 Years for Bribery
A bank manager named Ram Swaroop Mishra worked at a Bank of Baroda branch.
Someone got a loan but the bank put a hold on some of the money.
When the person asked why, the manager asked for money to release the rest of the loan.
He asked for $30,000 but agreed to take $25,000, which was paid with a blank check.
The police caught him when he accepted the check.
A special court found him guilty and decided he should go to jail for five years and pay a fine.
This is because it's wrong for bank officials to ask for money to do their jobs.
