Punjab Congress Faces Open Dissent Over Warring’s Leadership

Punjab Congress Faces Open Dissent Over Warring’s Leadership

A Congress leader in Punjab, Brinder Singh Dhillon, has openly criticized the state party chief, Raja Warring.

Dhillon used social media to make his criticism.

The Rupnagar Congress unit complained to the party leadership and asked for action against him.

Its president said Dhillon may be upset because he could be denied another election ticket.

Dhillon has lost twice from the Rupnagar Assembly seat.

Dhillon denied doing anything wrong and said Warring had also made improper comments about party workers.

The disagreement shows that different groups in Punjab Congress are fighting over leadership and election candidates.

These tensions are growing as the party prepares for the 2027 Assembly elections.
