Alligator Alcatraz: Immigration Detention Center Faces Scrutiny
Imagine a place called 'Alligator Alcatraz' where people who might get kicked out of the country are kept.
They wear special clothes and have strict rules, like when they can eat and what they can wear.
Some groups don't think the place is being run fairly.
They're worried about things like whether people can talk to their lawyers easily and if the place is even allowed to exist.
Some people say conditions inside are very bad.
The government says they follow the rules and provide detainees with proper care.
The legal battle is still going on to decide what should happen to the people kept there.
Detainees at 'Alligator Alcatraz' wear color-coded uniforms and face strict rules on hygiene and behavior.
Civil rights groups have filed lawsuits over the detention center's conditions and legality.
A federal judge ordered the facility to close, but the order was put on hold by an appeals court.
The handbook given to detainees details rules and available resources.
There are conflicting reports on conditions; detainees reported issues with sanitation, while authorities say they ensure proper legal access.
