Kashmir Bans Biscuit and Water Brands
In Kashmir, the Food Safety Department has banned two popular food products.
They found that Ajwa packaged water had harmful bacteria, and Butter Delite biscuits had too much sulphite.
This happened after another water brand, Snowdrop, was banned for having arsenic.
A local leader also worried about eggs being contaminated.
Earlier, there was a big problem with 'rotten' meat being sold.
People are asking the authorities to be more open about what they are doing to keep food safe.
Kashmir's Food Safety Department banned Ajwa packaged water due to E. Coli and Coliform bacteria contamination.
Butter Delite biscuits were banned for having sulphite levels above permissible limits.
Snowdrop packaged water was previously banned for arsenic contamination.
Legislator Tanvir Sadiq raised concerns about carcinogenic residues in eggs.
