Allahabad HC Dismisses Plea on Ramayan, Veda Workshops
The Allahabad High Court has decided that schools in Uttar Pradesh can hold summer workshops on the Ramayana and Vedas.
A person challenged this, saying it was unfair because it seemed to promote a certain religion in public schools.
However, the court dismissed the challenge.
The court said the person who filed the case didn't follow the rules for this type of legal action.
Also, the court questioned how this person, living in a different district, got the documents related to the case.
Allahabad High Court dismissed a PIL concerning summer workshops on Ramayan and Veda in UP schools.
The workshops are organized by the International Ramayana and Vedic Research Institute.
The PIL was filed by Dr. Chaturanan Ojha, who claimed the workshops were discriminatory.
Ojha argued the workshops promoted a particular religion and were unconstitutional.
