Singareni Expands with Rajasthan Power Projects
Singareni, a big coal company, is teaming up with Rajasthan to build new power plants.
These plants will make both solar and thermal energy.
The Rajasthan government said yes to this plan quickly because it's important for both states to have enough electricity.
This is the first time Singareni is doing something like this outside its home state.
They had a meeting in Hyderabad to talk about the plan and make it official.
Singareni also has big plans for the future, like making more coal and renewable energy, and even exploring new minerals.
They want to be a leader in clean energy and responsible mining by 2047.
Rajasthan Cabinet approved construction of 2,300 MW power plants in partnership with SCCL and RRVUNL.
Projects include 1,500 MW solar and 800 MW thermal power plants.
This marks Singareni's first out-of-state expansion.
The projects aim to meet critical power needs in both Rajasthan and Telangana.
SCCL plans to form a subsidiary, Global Singareni Limited (GSL), to explore critical minerals like copper and gold.
