Free Entry for Forces at Rashtrapati Nilayam

Rashtrapati Nilayam has announced that defence and paramilitary personnel can visit Rashtrapati Bhavan and the President’s Retreats for free from July 25 to September 13.

This is to celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas and Independence Day.

The announcement was made during a week-long celebration that included around 5,000 students, NCC cadets, and family members of defence personnel.

Major General G. Srinivas was the chief guest at the closing ceremony.

He paid tribute to the soldiers of the 1999 Kargil War and urged students to uphold values of integrity, courage, and commitment.

The event included competitions in painting, elocution, group dance, group singing, and rangoli.

Nearly 1,400 students from various schools and colleges participated.

The closing ceremony featured a human chain forming the Tricolour and the words “Jai Hind”, a documentary screening, a tribute wall, an exhibition of paintings, and cultural performances by winners.
