Dharavi to Get Second Metro Station, Major Interchange
Imagine Dharavi, a busy part of Mumbai, getting a new, bigger Metro station!
Right now, there's one Metro line going through Dharavi, but plans are underway to add another one.
This new line will connect to the existing one, making it easier for people to travel across the city.
This means people can go to places like the airport and other important areas without getting stuck in traffic.
The new station is planned to be a central hub where people can switch between different Metro lines and other ways of transport, such as buses, to make getting around faster and easier.
This also means less traffic on the roads and quicker trips for everyone.
Dharavi may get a second Metro station with the extension of Metro Line 11.
The extension aims to create a major Metro interchange hub.
The project will connect Metro Line 11 with the existing Metro Line 3.
The interchange will improve east-west and north-south connectivity across Mumbai.
The plan includes integration of feeder bus routes and infrastructure for walking and cycling.
