Tamil Nadu secures Rs 67,452 crore investments from 97 firms

Tamil Nadu is a state in India, and its new government wants more companies to build things there.

It held a big meeting called the Vettri Tamil Nadu Investors Conclave in Chennai.

At the meeting, 97 companies promised to spend more than Rs 67,452 crore in the state.

That is a very large amount of money.

The companies will build factories for electric vehicles, solar power, tyres, rockets, watches, and robots.

The government says these projects will create about 1.20 lakh new jobs for people.

Since the new government started in May, companies have promised around Rs 1 lakh crore in total.

The government also promised to approve licences within 21 days.

Its big goal is to help Tamil Nadu grow its economy to USD 1.5 trillion by 2036.
